Foxnight.net is dead… anybody want it?

Oh no! You killed it!

When I purchased my first domain I had a nifty idea for a particularly useful and exciting web application. It was to be the be-all and end-all of all my internet needs.

Then I realized that my idea sucked harder than a vacuum.

Since then the domain has been sitting around gathering dust, and generally wasting space. People have suggested that I sell the domain, but I’ve decided to just give it to the first person to  give me a good reason why it should be theirs.

How can I get it from you?

  • First, you need whatever the transfer costs for your registrar.
  • Second, you need a good reason why you should be the lucky one to own Foxnight.net.

Ok, so the reason doesn’t have to be amazing. Your reason just needs to beat the many “because I want it” reasons I’ve been receiving.

Want to do something good with the domain? Going to start a business? Want to own your first domain and think it sounds neat?

Let me know!

Contact me via my e-mail address at coderjoe[squiggily-a]coderjoe.net with your reason, and if I like it we’ll get the transfer process started.

I’ll leave this post up for as long as it takes to catch someones interest.  Once the domain has a new owner I’ll note it at the top of this post.

Ridin’ on Rails

Sunday, June 25th, 2006

Well I’ve fallen in love.

I’ve spent the last week planning development of Foxnight.net.

Final conclusion? Foxnight.net is obsolite. The functionality can and should be worked into JosephBauser.net.

Time is of the essence

Sunday, March 26th, 2006

Or at least it was.

Yet again I’ve missed my release dates, mostly because of a still ambitious release schedule, coupled with more school work, and a bit of lack of resolve in design. I did manage to get JosephBauser.net in layout form released on time, but Foxnight.net has fallen behind again.

With this in mind I’ve adjusted my schedule accordingly.

Foxnight.net will be finished by the end of week 5 in this quarter.

I’ve begun writing up a preliminary schedule which I’ll use to plan development phases and release deliverables.

Slow progress

Sunday, March 12th, 2006

It would seem that I’ve overestimated the amount of time I had available over the past two weeks.. this has in turn increased the expected development time of josephbauser.net and foxnight.net. Expected basic layout and minimal site release dates have been pushed back another week. The tentative schedule is now as follows:

Saturday March 18th - JosephBauser.net initial site release

Saturday March 25th - Foxnight.net initial site release

The following week will be beta-testing for both sites.

I’m hoping that the impending class load which begins Monday will not slow development too much.

Cheers for development.

Tasking

Monday, February 27th, 2006

One more week. That’s it, one more week and my status as a co-op employed student ends. I have a lot of things to work out, tasks, ideas, plans, and project ideas. First, however, I’ll need to flesh out the layouts for my project sites. I’m setting my tentative release dates for Foxnight.net and JosephBauser.net today. After all, if you don’t start you can’t finish. I have a week of break which I’m taking mostly to myself between quarters, I need to produce something.
